This past Friday night, Anteaters for Israel cosponsored Hillel’s weekly Shabbat Dinner, and added the theme of “Israel”. Over 100 attendees enjoyed the delicious Israeli delicacies of Schnitzel, Hummus, Pita, and other tasty favorites. Participants learned about Israel’s many contributions to humanity, and had the chance to win prizes in an educational raffle. The event was open to people of all ethnic and religious backgrounds.

Israeli Shabbat has become a tradition for AFI, and is hosted once a quarter. It is now the second biggest Shabbat dinner of the year. This event would not be made possible without the help of the Orange County Jewish Community, and the Hillel Foundation of Orange County.
